Fashion Legends

Cristobal Balenciaga
It just sounds like the name of a fashion legend, doesn't it? Its not like my name Georgia Barker, mind you he's not British.
If I start with the present it will be easier. Okay, you walk into the bags department in Harvey Nichols and among Chanel and Gucci, you see Balenciaga.
Nothing fussy, just sheer classic elegance.

The sizes range from key rings to the Olsen twins sizes and they do subtle pastel colours that easily mould into your wardrobe.
Just writing this is getting me excited and I've not even put in the pictures.
Whenever I see them I imagine that for summer I have a white handbag and this gorgeous multi coloured handbag. For winter I have a brown or (or why not 'and') pink bag. For Autumn a burnt orange bag, no doubt about that. For spring, a lime green and baby blue bags.
This, of course, comes at a price and that price seems even more when you get £5 a week. No point in adding the cost, it ruins the feel good vibe.

Obviously they do do (huh? Does that make sense?) clothes and shoes but I only think about the bags when I'm dealing with Balenciaga.
Au Revoir
Is that spelt right? I'm doing German and Spanish, not French

China's Economic State On My Lips

Okay, China isn't in a very good economical state, are they?
I mean basically, (my thoughts) the problem is that China has developed way to quickly in the trading product market and safety laws haven't been set down and a little thing called Global Warming is looming (I love that word) over us.
Of course, Europe isn't blameless. Who's buying the products in the first place?
Advantages to China's product market is that China's making money and we're buying cheap stuff.
Disadvantages are that the effects mean that Global Warming is becoming closer, toxic waste is in the air, Chinese farmers are out of business and it isn't sustainable.
So, would it work if we say, ok we'll pay more money for products or does that not affect it?
I know its not fashion related but I wan to know!

New Glamour??

Cute-little-simple dresses with va-va-voom-striking-coat paired with white-patent-summery-sandles? Well, I am always a devotee of Mr Roberto Cavalli (chic yet modern) and for this season he has really done some beautiful pieces.
His collection mainly consists of little dresses, some elegant, some glamorous and some more quirky.

I can't get the pictures on but heres the address: http://www.robertocavalli.com/it/home.do

Basso & Brooke

I love finding out about quirky designers! Whilst flicking through POP I came by Basso & Brooke.
Wow! The material and pattern remind me of Mathew Williamson combined with Roberto Cavalli. And the style? Very unique yet classy.
Its quicker if I just direct you to the site:

           Floaty scarf to match             -check

In the new collection I love that sharp make up and severe haircut.

Any thoughts or am I blogging to myself?

What Style Capital Are You?

If you think of British style does Alexander Mcqueen, Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith pop into your head??
What about Paris. The classic red Valentino dress, Chanel or Chloe?
You might be a New York girl. Do you love the modern DKNY and Mr. Marc Jacobs?
Last, but not least, Milan! If you cut out pictures of Prada, Escada or Fendi, then you are a Milan girl by heart.
Though I love all looks, I am devoted to that classy Parisian style.
